MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 11, 2005--Entegris, Inc. (Nasdaq:ENTG), today announced it was recognized for its materials science expertise as the best Established Company in Advanced Manufacturing with a 2005 Tekne Award -- a program acknowledging outstanding technology innovations and leaders in Minnesota. Entegris received the award in a Nov. 10 ceremony held at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

Entegris was recognized for its work in materials integrity management, specifically products that purify protect and transport the critical materials used by the world's foremost technologies in their processing and manufacturing. Tekne judges were "impressed with Entegris' global reach and technology." The judges noted that an Entegris product has touched nearly every computer chip ever manufactured.

Presented by the Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA) and Minnesota Technology, Inc. (MTI), in partnership with Medical Alley/MNBIO, the Tekne Awards annually recognize Minnesota's best and brightest technology users and developers in innovation, development, education, commercialization and management of technology.

Other Tekne finalists competing for the Established Company in Advanced Manufacturing award included global technology businesses 3M and the Tennant Company.
